    Sir/Madam
    I can’t spilt the company data there is show a error in screen write that “Could not resolve “Unit” Name for Company. Formal Name was ‘N’, and Symbol ‘Nos’.” Please give me suggestion in this matter.

    I have tally 6.2 i am trying to split my company data, it goes through first phase and then strucks at second phase and then the screen goes to ALT+F3 screen. i mean comes out .. and nothing happens.. Splitting is not working . Please advise.

    i need help. my tally.erp9 release 3.2, i need to split company data but when i go to Gateway of Tally, Select Alt+F3 view Cmp Info, the Select Split Company Data command is not appiering. pls any body help using my email address.

    Dear Adam William,

    When you load your company log in as admin not as user.
    Admin only have rights to split the company.
    You are not getting option becasue you log in as user in that company.
    Try with admint you will get option of “Spilt Company”

    Dear Prasanna,

    Check your tally.spl file where you will get error in details,
    go to that ledger and alter and select the deductee type nad tehn split the company

    Dear Prithvi,

    Take a backup first,
    Open your company
    Press Ctrl + Alt + R (rewrite your compnay)
    then you try for split the company

    Dear Pruthviraj,

    You have to create a ledger Forex Gain/Loss (under indirect income/expenses : depend upon profit or loss)
    Then create a voucher class in journal and activate use in Forex Gain or loss : Yes
    and then pass the journal entry in journal voucher with forex gain or loss class

    Dear Walker,

    You dont have to reverse it
    When you split the company original company will remain the same an additional two companies will be created, so delete the others and split the company again with proper date

    Sir, am using tally 7.2, i want to split the data, i tried to split the data ( alt+f3) but when it showing splitting the data for few minutes and after that i ddnt see the company in splitted form. Can you please help me from this issue its very urgent.

    After splitting the company data for April 2010 to March 2012 into two
    Company A April 2010 to March 2011
    Company B April 2011 to March 2012
    Now the Company A does not show any entries for Profit & Loss Account or Purchases and Sales account.
    Please help us solve this problem.

    Dear Anil,

    Afer spliting of the company data
    In Main Company : you will get data from 01/04/2010 to 31/03/2012,
    In Company A : you will get data from 01/04/2010 to 31/03/2011,
    In Company B : you will get data from 01/04/2011 to 31/03/2012,

    Please check your current period or statistcs (GOT>Display>Statement of Accounts> Stastics).

    dear sir we have split our tally erp 9 ver 3.0 data from earlier tally version but after reloading our data our all the bank reconcillation is deleted.

    please suggest we can do the split lower version.

    After spliting the data in Tally ERP 9 we need to reverse the split as the balances brought into the new period is worng and cannot be adjusted .Kindly give us the procedure to reverse a data split without losing the data already entered in the new period

    Dear Khamarudheen,

    Please check your Tally.spl file where you will get detail error, try to rectify the same and then go for split the company
